Move Into Run - 6 Intro Runs to get you on your way to Running!
This is a series of runs that build off of each other designed for those who are new to running or re-introducing themselves back into the game (post injury, postpartum etc). It aims to get you feeling confident in your walks/runs!
Below is the program that I am going to follow and my recommendation for you to move along with me but feel free to adjust as needed:
Week 1: Complete 3 runs. 2 x MIR 1 and 1 x MIR 2
Week 2: Complete 3 runs. 1 x MIR 2 and 2 x MIR 3
Week 3: Complete 3 runs. 2 x MIR 4 and 1 x MIR 5
Week 4: Complete 3 runs. 1 x MIR 5 and 2 x MIR 6
I have also included a link to a 10minute warmup to use prior to each run. You can choose to use this or do your own warmup but please remember that the warmup is just as important as the run itself! We need to prep our bodies accordingly. You are in control of your pace, so adjust accordingly and take it step by step. Plan your route before you go, dress accordingly, stay safe and smile!
