Intro to Run - 1

 

Intro to Run is designed for those who are new to running or re-introducing themselves back into the game (post injury, postpartum etc), this audio guided walk/run is a great place to start! The name of the game here is HAVE FUN! Dont worry about pushing yourself right out the gate, take your time to let your body adjust to the movement.

Running is a high impact sport and so we need to make sure we are warming up properly, fueling our bodies, hydrating and cooling down. Incorporating single leg strength training is really going to help as well! We spend most of the run on one leg so unilateral strength work is the best!

This 23 min walk/run will feature intervals of walking and light jogging with a maximum interval jog time of 3minutes and a total jog time of 9 minutes.

Please remember to that you are in control of your pace, so adjust accordingly and take it step by step. Plan your route before you go, dress accordingly, stay safe and smile!
